Internal locking units type IS are examples of shaft-hub connections. They achieve a frictional and backlash-free connection between a shaft and a hub hole. Due to the locking unit which grips from the inside no additional installation space is taken up by external components outside the hub and slim design is thus permitted. Each type offers the following benefits as a result: It has self-locking taper angles, is self-centring and thus achieves an increase in concentricity through pre-centring.
The shrink disc is outside the power flow when the system is in operation. Only very low dynamic loads and no wear occur on the shrink disc. The shrink disc is therefore fatigue-proof when correctly designed.
The screw connection is made from one side as standard. Quick assembly and easy accessibility are therefore ensured.
