Chain couplings

The FLOHR chain couplings are suitable for application of torques over a wide speed range. The flexible coupling is both powerful and robust. Chain couplings are suitable both at higher temperatures and when it may be necessary to compensate for slight angular or parallel offsets.

Due to the easy connection on the clutch chain, the unit requires very little maintenance. The chain coupling offers an optimal price-performance ratio for numerous applications in plant and mechanical engineering. A large performance range is covered by the large number of available coupling sizes.

The assembly of the special clutch sprockets with hardened teeth is the same on the two opposite shaft ends. Here it is important to ensure that the defined requirements with regard to angular deviation and parallel offset of the shafts is observed. The clutch chain is a precision duplex roller chain according to ISO 606 – this is placed on the teeth of the two sprockets and closed with a connecting link.

Balance quality according to DIN 21940

All couplings can be delivered balanced on request. However, depending on the length / width of the unit, the ratio is not critical in terms of unbalance.
