With over 100 years of experience in the design and manufacture of belt drives, we are a powerful partner for your drive solution. We manufacture individual special pulleys in all common profiles up to a diameter of 2,500 mm.
In many cases, in order to exchange or replace drive
pulleys, the entire drive with all its components must first be disassembled
and then reassembled, which is a laborious and time consuming process. To make
this easier, we offer split pulleys that can be separated in the middle into 2
halves and put back together perfectly on the shaft. Split pulleys are produced
in all versions (V-belt pulleys, flat belt pulleys, flywheels, etc.) as exclusive
custom-made products. Depending on the requirement, the pulley may be converted
to an arm or a web disc.
All geometries can be easily manufactured using a
flexible, model-less molding process. From a lot size of 1 piece, for urgent
spare parts, prototypes, pilot series models or small series, divided webs are
produced according to customer specifications or drawings. In close cooperation
with the customer, we develop the best solution for individual drives.
For the production of divided webs, the raw casting is
already split into two halves in a controlled manner - using predetermined
split points - and immediately reassembled and fixed. The structure of the cast
iron, which undergoes almost no elastic deformation before fracture, is
exploited to achieve a perfect fit at the split point for seamless reassembly.
Decades of experience in casting with a predetermined split points, blasting
and subsequent mechanical processing of the split pulley results in a tailor-made, highly quality sophisticated
drive unit.
For many years we have been supplying conveyor system manufacturers and
manufacturers of bucket elevators with special belt and mesh pulleys in various
designs made of durable cast iron. Standardized discs, which are available from
stock, are just as much a part of our delivery programme as custom-made
products for special requirements.
Belt pulleys
We calculate, design and manufacture belt pulleys up to a diameter of
2,500 mm for belt conveyors used in bulk material, transport and processing
technology systems. Pulleys specialise in driving long conveyor belts 24/7. A
high processing quality of the components is therefore required.
At Lütgert, each pulley is manufactured according to a standard process
and adapted to individual customer requests and requirements. Our belt pulleys
are characterized by high quality, functionality, sustainability and
durability.
Coated Belt pulleys
For optimal friction, we offer an additional friction coating of the belt
pulleys with rubber, silicone or polyurethane. These drive elements are mainly
used as the head pulleys for bucket elevators used in the construction of
transport systems. From a rim width of 500 mm, the belt pulleys are equipped
with a double spider or double web. This increases stability and performance.
In the case of rim widths of more than 750 mm, several pulleys can be combined
on one shaft, which together have a domed or crowned design.
Lattice pulleys / Rod drums
Lattice discs, also known as rod drums, are mainly used as base pulleys in
bucket elevators and conveyor belts. We manufacture these components in
different diameters (355 to 1,000 mm) and rim widths (140 to 500 mm). By
combining several lattice discs on one shaft, which together have a domed or
crowned design, rim widths of more than 2,000 mm can also be manufactured. The
design of the contact surface in the form of a bar prevents bulk or transport
goods from getting between the disc and the belt and being crushed. Therefore
reducing the risk of causing the belt to slip or causing damage or wear on the
drive belt. All types are manufactured by us as a version with only one stable
base. Deflector cones are therefore not required.
There are some areas of application where drive elements made of grey, nodular or cast steel cannot be used, so in this case we also produce drive and flywheels as steel/welded constructions. These are either manufactured from standard semi-finished steel products or are adapted to individual wishes and requirements as customer-specific special pulleys. Steel/welded constructions excell with increased stability despite lower mass and are mainly used for large drive pulleys with high workloads.
